Inspired by the breathtaking lookout over Lake Hayes, where we pulled over on the drive from Wānaka to Queenstown for what was meant to be a quick stop—but became one of my favourite memories of the trip.

The Hayes Necklace is a wearable postcard that captures the view from above. Looking down from the viewpoint, the lake curved gently through the landscape, surrounded by rolling green hills that seemed to stretch on forever. It was one of those unexpected moments that reminded me that some of the best memories are found between destinations.

Each pendant is meticulously handwoven using Japanese Miyuki glass beads, recreating the winding blue waters of Lake Hayes nestled within the surrounding greenery, one bead at a time. Every necklace is made to order, allowing each piece to be crafted slowly and intentionally, just for you. No two are exactly alike—a reminder of the beauty found in handmade work.

Created to preserve one spontaneous stop along the journey, Hayes is a keepsake that celebrates the beauty of taking the scenic route and appreciating the moments you never planned for.
